New Bodies of work
My new projects are titled "Rural Abandonment" and "Miksang Photography." Rural Abandonment is one that I'm trying to document the decline in small-town America way of life that is no more, this is primarily due to the fact I believe, that we are not manufacturing products or growing crops like we use to in these rural environments, it's sad to see this and i felt compelled to capture some of it in what I see in my Mind's Eye. "Miksang" photography. I am exploring this type of art form that I have been shooting since the early days of film, but didn't know what it was or why I really liked it, and I surely didn't think anybody else would, but that is changing. Miksang is an old Tibetan word, loosely translated to mean "Good Eye". Seeing the unseen. And understanding this is bringing a new light to the way of shooting the unusual. Check out my two gallery's about for more of this work, and let me know what you think.
